[ The build ]

A real problem, a real fix.

Every Cohort 01 fellow started with people, not an idea: find who has the problem, talk to them, then build.

The problem

Boutique owners often manage customer measurements, cloth details, order stages, delivery dates, and payments manually, making it difficult to keep track of multiple orders and keep customers updated.

Customers also have limited visibility into their order progress and payment status, often needing to contact the boutique directly for updates.

What Siddarth built

Boutiqo

The team is building a Boutique Management & Order Tracking Platform that brings the entire order journey into one system. Boutique owners can create customer order profiles, record measurements and work details, upload cloth images, plan delivery dates, update order stages, and share a tracking link with customers through WhatsApp. Customers can simply open the link without downloading an app or logging in to view their order status, delivery date, estimated cost, and payment balance, while super admins can manage boutiques and monitor overall usage and performance.

How Build Theory helped

Build Theory helped the team follow a structured product-building framework from **idea → PRD → MVP**, giving them clarity on what they wanted to build and allowing them to visualise the complete product even before designing individual screens. They also learned how to use AI more effectively by writing better prompts and giving the right context to get more useful outputs. Most importantly, they now have a repeatable process for approaching and building their future projects in a more structured, focused, and efficient way.

Real answers to what students ask us most.

I don't understand AI yet. Can I still do this?

Yes. If you've used ChatGPT, you can start. Your mentor shows you which AI tools to use, and how, as you build.

Won't this eat into my DSA prep?

No. It's about 3–5 hours a week, and you plan them around your classes and prep. Build Theory runs alongside your DSA prep, not instead of it. Coding rounds still matter. This gives you something to talk about once you clear them.

Is it online or offline?

Fully online, so you can do it from anywhere, around your classes. The one exception is Demo Day: one in-person day in Hyderabad where you present what you built.

What happens after I apply?

Fill a short application. About 5 minutes, no payment. Prashanth calls you within 24 hours to talk through your idea and see if it's a fit. If it's a fit, you confirm your seat with ₹500. It's adjusted against the fee and non-refundable.
